Welcome to Rose City Rabbitry we raise show, brood and pet quality colored holland Lops. Holland Lops are dwarf bunnies, the smallest of the Lop breed weighing up to 4 pounds as adults. Holland Lops are one of the friendliest breeds out there, and therefore make excellent pets. All our bunnies are free from diseases and malocclusion. They are wormed, eyes and teeth checked and nails trimmed. We spend a lot of time with them so that they are very friendly, and ready for their new home.
Bunnies make excellent pets, they don’t bark or meow, but they are very intelligent, easily litter trained, friendly, love to be the center of attention, fun to watch as they race around and do 360’s, they are very social animals with lots of personality. Hollands are extremely easy to potty train, pretty much just put a litter box in with pine shavings and they take right to it.
🐰 We have been in business since 2013, selling quality holland lops many are from grand champ back grounds. Our bunnies are healthy, happy bunnies looking for their forever homes. Ours here are kept in large cages, have been checked out,and are healthy. Good health for a rabbit requires daily care and sanitary conditions.Bunnies should always be kept dry and safe from the weather. If caged outside, make sure wild animals can't get to them, At 3 weeks kits are starting to nibble on hay and solid food and drink from a water bottle, by 6 weeks they are completely on solids and drinking from water bottles and between 7-8 weeks we adopt them out and give the mommy’s a much needed break. All of our bunnies come with a care sheet, bag of transition food and some timothy hay to get them transitioned into their new home.. Show bunnies come with an official 3 generation pedigree. Our goal here is to sell sweet, healthy, great quality bunnies to good homes. A bunny can live for 10 years, so go with quality from a reputable breeder. If you have questions I’m always available.
Holland lops should always have a diet high in fiber. Timothy hay/Orchard grass is essential to survive as .well as a feed that is 16% protein and at least 18% fiber everyday. Bunny’s love greens, dandelions, black oiled sunflower seeds, small piece of banana, and a baby carrot every once in awhile. I do not recommend these until bunny is at least 4 months, and they should be limited. Bunny’s have very fragile digestive systems, beware of sugar and carbs, you can end up with extreme diarrhea and a emergency vet visit. Bunnies are chewers so give them a block of wood, apple limb, willow branch, or toilet parapet roll stuffed with hay. Bunny’s can get hairballs and die so when your bunny is molting always give a fresh chunk of pineapple , or cat hairball medicine. Bunny’s are easily litter boxed trained and are very social and sweet. I recommend wire cages , at least 24x24 with a pull out tray. I use pine shavings or compressed pellets. Feed stores are the best places to get these. Some feed stores I like are Coastal, Burns Feed, Wilco, and witchita feed. 🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰
